WHILE some family members in this sad situation may sit quietly to the side, Ploy Theerada Mokkhasak does the opposite.
The 23-year-old decided to cheer up her dying gran Sumlee, 79, who is frail and bedridden.
Cranking up the volume the fresh-faced young woman performs dance moves with upbeat techno music as the backdrop.
And Sumlee, who needs an oxygen respirator and can no longer walk, waves her arms and joins in at her family home in Prachin Buri, Thailand.
Ploy’s touching clip of her cheering up her gran with an enthusiastic dance went viral with more than five million views.
She said: “Every time I go home I have to dance for my granny. Sometimes she opens her eyes and watches. Sometimes she dances as well with me.
“My gran has looked after me since I was young and we are really close to each other. She really loves music.

“Now she’s getting really old and I want to make her happy, so I always dance for her.
“She smiles and dances and makes me happy. I believe that everybody has to make their family happy while they are still alive.”
Ploy, who runs an online shop, added: “I think that a little bit of dancing and music brings a lot of joy to her and helps her to live longer.”
But then, when it comes to family it seems we’ll do anything to raise a smile, from dancing to acting the fool and even surprise visits.
